Ward 12 News Cont...
New Arenas
I shall keep up my
monthly update on arenas until I get success or a final
resolution of the issues at hand. A group of people
interested people in fundraising for and possibly managing
the future SE Recreation Centre has come forward. The City
is doing a needs and preference study to see what needs are
most urgent in the SE. Later on, it will be decided if the
location will be Sheperd, Seton or Quarry Park. I continue
to look for volunteers to form a community based board to
potentially manage this centre and of course to give
confidence to council that they should be given the chance.
